Indianapolis Information Services (IIS)

Indianapolis Information Services (IIS) is a resource for families and friends of alcoholics in Central Indiana. We wish to help anyone who is seeking relief and recovery from, and understanding of, someone else’s drinking behavior. We help those who are seeking information, literature, or support regarding local Al-Anon Family Groups.

Who We Serve:
We support members, prospective members and Al-Anon groups in the Indianapolis vicinity. The local groups we directly support are in Indiana’s Districts 8, 9, and 10. These include English speaking meetings, Spanish speaking meetings, and Alateen meetings.

Our Programs and Services:

  • We provide a Literature Depot serving groups, individuals, and Indianapolis-area program related activities.
  • A 24-hour telephone line staffed by volunteers (317-257-2693)
  • Outreach (Central Indiana). We systematically provide Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature to places that serve family members of alcoholics. Anyone who is bothered by another’s drinking can find help and hope in Al-Anon. If you have questions about how we “carry the Al-Anon message”, or if you are an Al-Anon member who wishes to participate, please e-mail us at indianapolisalanon@gmail.com
  • A Speaker Exchange Service:
To help those who are hosting a Recovery Event to arrange for an Al-Anon Member to share the Experience, Strength and Hope of the Al-Anon Program of Recovery.
